Registration is closed
Study day aimed at ward nurses working in the acute setting. The day is run by the National Outreach Forum with collaboration of local critical care outreach teams. The study days cover the different aspects of acutely ill patients from the recognition of deterioration to the post critical care rehabilitation phase:
  • ABDCE approach to patient assessment  and the importance of the NEWS
  • Recognising and managing severe sepsis
  • Fluid balance and acute kidney injury
  • How to do GCS
  • Post traumatic stress after critical illness
  • The ward nurse experience of caring for post ICU patients
  • Critical Care rehabilitation: the ward contribution
PLEASE PASS THE INFORMATION AND ENCOURAGE WARD NURSES ATTENDANCE





HOW TO FIND KING'S MILL HOSPITAL

From the M1 or A38

Leave the M1 at Junction 28
Follow signs for A38 to Mansfield
Proceed through 6 sets of traffic lights. You’ll see a large reservoir on the right hand side.
At the next set of lights filter / turn right to Mansfield.
The entrance to Kings Mill Hospital is on your left hand side just before Morrison’s store.

Proceed forward, turn right at the mini roundabout & follow the road round to Car Park 9.


From Mansfield Town Centre

Proceed along Sutton Road from Mansfield town centre on the A38.
Go through 2 sets of traffic lights, 1st set has the John Cockle Pub to your right.
At the 3rd set of traffic lights by Morrison's supermarket turn right onto the Kings Mill site.

Proceed forward, turn right at the mini roundabout & follow the road round to Car Park 9.
