UPDATE CORONAVIRUS

8th March 2020, 22:00

We are all concerned by the spread of the coronavirus and know that many of you have questions regarding what impact it may have on our meeting, the National Outreach Forum Research Study Day, 16th March 2020 at the Royal College of Physicians in London.

We are continually evaluating and monitoring the national situation. We believe that at present the benefits of continuing with the study day outweigh any potential risks.

We are in regular contact with the Royal College of Physicians in London and they have reassured us that they have no plans to cancel our event at this stage. As a central London venue, they are following procedures to reduce the risk of spreading the virus and have requested to inform you that where any participant has been in areas of the world currently affected by the virus that they follow guidance as notified by the Chief Medical Officer and UK Government here. This information is regularly updated. The current outbreak of coronavirus Covid-19 requires us all to behave responsibly to reduce risks around potential spread.

The well-being of our participants is of course a priority and we will be instituting certain recommended precautions during the meeting.

We will continue to monitor and act on advice from the UK government and Public Health England, regarding precautions on Covid-19.

We will provide updates if the situation changes.

On behalf of the National Outreach Forum Board, we look forward to welcoming you to the NOrF Research Study Day in London on 16th March 2020

Please note that unless the event is cancelled following advice from the UK government and Public Health England, there will not be any refunds to fees paid to attend.
